TNS Distribution picks up the Golden iGroove in Berlin

At the Klipsch Annual IFA Global Partners Event last night in Berlin TNS Distribution were awarded the Klipsch European Distributor of the Year Award.

Alan Eustace, Purchasing Manager for TNS Distribution was awarded a Golden iGroove from leading US Speaker Manufacturer Klipsch, which will soon be showcased at its premises in Dublin.

TNS Distribution were honoured to accept this highly prestigious award and, with the announcement from Klipsch at the IFA of major expansions in their offering, are very much looking forward to building on their achievements to date.

In presenting the award Rene Rijneveld (European President of Sales for Klipsch) praised the exceptional dedication and drive he has encountered from TNS Distribution. In the space of just over a year TNS have shipped 40,000 units of the Klipsch iGroove product alone. Furthermore the forecast for the Christmas run is at least another 10,000 units per month of the classic iGroove HG, not to mention the other products from the Klipsch portfolio.

Early in 2006 Tony Bergin, Channel Manager for TNS Distribution, approached Klipsch’s President of European Sales Rene Rijnevald in the Netherlands to discuss the possibilites of a distribution partnership for this remarkable brand. The meeting was perfectly timed as Klipsch needed to better understand how to optimise and drive sales in a whole new channel for them - the fast moving consumer electronics and Digital Music segment. TNS were perfectly positioned to partner for the major tasks ahead based on the wealth of retail experience and successes they’ve enjoyed across the UK and Irish markets. These initial discussions eventually progressed towards an exclusive Distribution agreement between TNS and Klipsch for the UK & Irish markets.

Working closely with TNS Distribution in the UK & Ireland the brand has quickley gained momentum and plans for 2008 include a massive brand marketing campaign. Klipsch have aggressive market penetration targets in place which TNS Distribution will accomplish. With injections of top Marketing support from the US TNS Distribution will continue to grow the market and brand awareness in the UK & Ireland.

The evening was celebrated with a private concert with guitarist extraordinaire Jan Ackermann. Klipsch Audio Technologies will be showcasing their new range of exceptional audio products at the IFA Consumer Electronics Exhibition 2007.
